You know, the ones where the person who organized the original meeting to discuss IMPORTANT TOPIC with the people who understand the issue, and the people who can fix the issue, where I clearly defined what my role in resolving the issue will be, then have to go…

That’s just it.
The vast majority of the people who schedule all of these meetings are doing their best to avoid actual work, and/or looking for other people to dump their workload onto.
