What’s with that video preview?

I don’t know, the pretty screens at the top look quite nice and distinctive, but watch the gameplay video and it’s quite clear that this isn’t much more than a quick downscaling of the textures beyond normal game settings. Like maybe normally you can turn them down to 512x512 but this looks like it might be 32x32 or

Don’t you earn gold and stuff by leaving it off for that same period of time, though? You kind of have to marathon it at first, I guess, but I remember being able to leave the game and just come back days later to find ridiculous amounts of money my heroes “earned” for me while I was gone.

If I could afford to eat sushi instead of pizza rolls, I’d be eating sushi every day. I can’t get enough of the stuff. But even decent sushi costs a ton. You can buy like 6 meals’ worth of pizza rolls for the price of a cheap plate of sushi that will still leave you wanting more.

His point is more that those top players have it in their own best interest to reduce the number of possible variables in the situation. For instance, if Smash had a smaller roster for tournament play, they could safely get away with not learning the ins and outs of those disallowed characters and focus more on the

I think that’s the worst part, really. Anything else you might be able to find something similar in the wild, but the eyes look like patches sewn onto a teddy bear. They’re like the eyes you see on fursuits/mascot outfits. Un-moving, un-blinking, not even so much as shiny so the highlights/reflections on the eyes

I’m personally not a fan of this style-shock at all. I only care about photo-realistic graphics from a technical perspective, so the landscape, while pretty, doesn’t do much for me. Seeing Charmander rendered in cartoony form in this world just... doesn’t work. It doesn’t feel real at all. Even though it’s standing

Give it a shot. I’ve been trying to dig into it again, but it’s a real brick wall if you’re serious about making games in it. Blueprints make starting out and prototyping easier, but ultimately I feel you need to learn/know C++ to get to the point of making actual games. I think that’s why we’re seeing so many of

I would be fine with cartoony, I would be fine without ALL the Pokemon (like the Mystery Dungeon series does, I think), but I want an action game where you play as Pokemon, minus all the trainer business.

Needs a better particle effect for the tail. Unreal can do a lot better than this. The tip of its tail’s supposed to be on fire, but it looks like a bunch of small flame explosions are happening in the general vicinity of the tail.

Looking at the .gif at the top, Sabre has 4 wins to Kan-Ra’s 5.

Not as much of a no-brainer, I’d say. If you’re on a budget and planning to get all your Amazon purchases made tomorrow during that big sale, this is basically throwing some of that money into an investment you won’t see for a while. You kind of have to consider whether it’s worth it to get the ~20% savings on

You go on and on about dipsticks but I’ve never actually seen one work. Sure, it’s probably because my little 97 Saturn is a piece of junk and the only thing I’ve driven for the most part, but the dipstick has consistently failed to provide me with any sort of relevant information. I pull it out, wipe it off, repeat,

‘hood’ has a very different connotation to it today than it did back then. If that wasn’t their intent then that’s okay; that part of the comment doesn’t apply in that case.

“You don’t have money but you have enough money buy something to play it on? Where did that come from? House break? Hold up cash? These aren’t Robin hoods...just hoods.”

“So cheating in games is justified as long as I’m having fun, got it.”

Story: The concept for the world is insane. On the human scale, it really feels like they’re barely keeping up in a losing war against an encroaching enemy. On the larger scale, there’s some serious shit going down which absolutely sounds apocalyptic. It’s very mysterious, very intriguing and handled pretty well, IMO.

So... Ezreal’s Q (the ability that has the shortest cooldown) can be made so powerful you can snipe multiple champs for about half their health, through walls and everything... and this competitive game which people are actually building careers off of isn’t doing anything to stop users from abusing that to get ahead?

I keep hearing good things about this game, but I really don’t see myself getting through it. Let’s be real here - I’ve tried to get through most of the numbered FF games, many of them I’ve retried on multiple occasions (got halfway through 8 like three separate times) and even though those games *aren’t* in a genre
