I know it's a tough ask, but I'm just saying that's where my preferences lie. I've seen a number of kickstarters put out a demo (or at least some early gameplay footage) and those ones really get my attention. This one in particular makes promises for mechanics that I'm not convinced they can fulfill.

I think it's the lack of in-between frames with each stride. The leg is forward, and then suddenly it's back... and it's also hard to distinguish front leg from back leg, as well.

I feel like he should have taken the project at least a step farther. Show us you're capable of delivering on that promise with the combat, even if it's just a single playable sliver of the game.. if it's impressive and it shows us what to expect, it would be well worth backing. Mayo and ketchup is what we call "fry sauce" here in Idaho. Apparently it's not very popular on french fries in other states (tends to be I get funny looks when I ask about fry sauce when I'm traveling) but I swear by the stuff.

It's definitely not exactly like the old one. It's still very similar in shape and size but the overall texture and definition on the character has been altered quite a bit.

I think they could have toned down the human elements a bit. The boobs definitely seem like a fetish-oriented thing, now more than before.

Roguelikes tend to have the absolute WORST generation, though. It's still really common for them to make rectangular rooms randomly filled with enemies, traps and items, with pathways connecting them. It's cute, but I can NOT get over the massive freaking bulldozer lower jaw that Charizard has going on there. That looks nothing like the other illustrations of Charizard, like they just couldn't figure out how to draw his head at a different angle than usual. I swear half those shots in the Titanfall video weren't even aimed at the enemy. Like, they were definitely NEAR them, but not on their vitals, if on their body at all.

Who says you'd ever notice the effects? The reason this is still going on is because it hasn't yet caused a massive catastrophe.

Did you ever play the older games, though? Have you gotten to the paywalls or ran into any other issues with the game? It sounds like a well-loved series and this iteration has been almost universally hated by its fans.
