I love those trucks...they definitely win for best tailgate text ever.

Same here. It's not to be anonymous...you can find out who I am and everything about me easily. I prefer not to have my entire life linked to Facebook and Google, so I chose the burner option thinking that was just the way to create an account without using facebook...

Is changing the oil as easy on a 2014 Fiat 500 as it was to change it on a 1964 Galaxie 500?

There's a couple companies doing 'conversions' too. If you weld the back half of the Ute onto a G8, that's technically legal, and a few people have done that. Another company is bringing them in as a bare chassis, then installing a G8 drivetrain and registering it as a kit car. That's not so legal, because the way the

And the Federal government says we can't have Holden Utes because they don't meet safety standards...

Should've dialed it back to turtle...

Bringing a non-conforming vehicle in through Canada first is not legal. British Columbia for a while had a process of issuing VIN's to imported vehicles. Americans used that number and claimed the vehicle met CMVSS (Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards). To properly import a Canadian certified vehicle that does not

I only had liability on the Explorer though. If it was stolen, insurance doesn't owe me anything.

I was actually shocked when I went from liability only on a 1997 Ford Explorer to comprehensive on a 2000 E46 BMW. My insurance went down.

Simple. All three drivers in that video are asshats. All should be arrested, and the company doing the testing should lose the ability to use manufacturer plates.

Ignore the haters. If it's your car, your money, you get to make the choices.

Just this test could have caused an accident. That pickup truck swerving for no good reason, to avoid the slow, loud truck that's not even in his way could have hit someone. Note he didn't really slow down...

Hi Randy. What do you mean customs sees the car when you're done?

I'm not rooting against him. I'm looking out for his customers.

It does get murky here. However the engine is only part of it. You could put am LS motor and all emissions components into one of Kaizo's cars and it still wouldn't be legal.

Not a chassis either. That's a couple subframe's and an engine and transmission connected by a torque tube. You can do the same thing with the Miata drivetrain and suspension because it has a torque arm design.

A subframe is not a chassis. The picture you posted was an assembled collection of parts. A couple sub-frames, an engine, diff, exhaust, etc.

No it's not. That's a drivetrain. The Holden is a unibody. Did you read the links? It's illegal either way.

There is no chassis. It's a unibody. Makes no difference though. They're registering it as a kit car. Even if it was just a body and not a unibody, it still could not be considered a 'kit car body' because it was previously a motor vehicle.
