The LeBaron definitely didn't deserve any awards. My first car was a 1990 LeBaron hardtop in red, just like the one pictured.

I've posted about this previously. It's my post quoted in the article above.

I'm not trying to bash what you did. My concern here is over other importers getting people into a legally grey area. As I know you are more than aware, being left high and dry by a company sucks.

That is not correct....the federel legislation involving the import of vehicles does not have anything to do with state registration. You said: "At 25 it's now omitted from all state inspection and emissions regulations. ". That is not a true statement.

The 25 year exemption has nothing to do with state registration laws. Don't confuse state and federal. A federally legal 25 year old import is still not CARB approved in California for example. Each state writes their own registration laws.

I wish Trevor the best with his car. I really am worried how this will pan out for the customers of companies that use this method to import cars for resale. My concern, and reason for originally writing my oppo post, is import companies may bring over cars and when the government interprets the law differently, those

Here's how they did it.

No it's not legal under the 25 year rule. The law is clear. The enforcement of it was a mistake...

He doesn't make any mention of it, but those weren't produced until August...Import laws go by month of manufacture...

One Wheel Bad?

Klaus Schmoll posted it on Oppo over a month ago.

Yeah, I've actually filmed at them. I believe those are gone now as well...

That's the kind of law that only punishes people who lack adequate legal defense. The law requires intent. I would have to imagine that with a good lawyer anyone in a similar situation would be able to get it thrown out.

When I first moved to LA I was working as a Production Assistant and was sent down to Downey Studios in a box truck. Downey Studios no longer exists, but it was formerly a Boeing plant where part of the assembly for the Space Shuttle Orbiters was completed. Needless to say it's big.

I'll take the Toyota.

We go to all the same shows! My girlfriend and I attended the concourse at the Art Center, and JCCS. Did you go to the French Italian show?

That's a good idea...unfortunately that means you have absolutely no future in the auto industry...

We need to come up for a name for this...when someone unknowingly posts a video with a fake audio track...

Exaclty! That's why this is so important to them!
