It's incredibly implausible, and who cares if he's willing to do it or not because he lacks the ability. I'm sure he's a miserable human being but power and money are not some sort of fungible things that can be used anywhere and for anything. It's entirely possible he sent a letter to USCIS alerting them of her

He doesn't have the money or the power to influence the USCIS. I mean, let's have some perspective here.

Is kissing someone on the lips without their consent really "awesome?"

"Hi, I'm casting a movie..."

this ruined the video for me. why did he add this in? is he seriously trying to suggest that people are appropriately appaled [sic] by rape towards women and yet laugh at men who suffer the same?

What does politics have to do with this? Why are you using the subject as an excuse to shit on left wing voters and their blogs? How selfish can you be, taking a topic like men being raped and turning it into another opportunity to crap on people who don't vote the way you do. Nice job troll. I can't take you

That is not what he's saying. Yes, there are people who treat rape in general like it's no big deal, but comments on an article about male rape are more likely to be mocking the man and denying the possibility that he was even raped. I've even seen it on Jezebel. I can't remember the article, but one of the first

What about R__Skin?

Which part, "Gook" or "Redskin"?

I'm Vietnamese, didn't take offense since I know what they are trying to satirize. Maybe you should educate yourself so things don't fly over your head, asshole.

That's the joke. The entire "controversy" has completely bypassed the issue Colbert and his writers were ridiculing in the first place: How in 2014, a team can still be called the Redskins. It's satirizing how we're so numb to the fact that Redskins is a long-defined racial slur but gooks and other words instantly set

How about "Redskins?"

I really don't think "a minority group" was the butt of his joke, unless you're counting 'People who own NFL teams' as the minority in question. And the fact that Colbert is a privileged white male is part of the joke - most of the jokes are that he is the most privileged of all people.

Which joke, the show segment or the tweet? Because, as was explained pretty clearly, he didn't send the tweet, which was largely devoid of the context of the joke.

NO, IT IS NOT.

No, it's not.

Oh give me a break. Can nothing be satirized anymore without people throwing a bitchfit?

You don't get it because you're a goddamned git. Your response means you didn't even read the fucking article or understand what the fuck happened, who did what and why, and you think you have questions that need to be answered?

fake outrage is still fake.
