The people who are complaining about invites crack me up. Anyone with G+ has and unlimited number of them to hand out. Do you REALLY not know anyone online, at all, anywhere to get you an invite?

I can't disagree with your sentiment but 25 million subscribers are not necessarily users. I follow roughly 100 people and roughly 100 people follow me back, from my experience only a handful of those people use the site. 10-15 if I had to guess.
