This should be higher up. The Taurus has never had any “brand equity” that I’m aware of. Ford should absolutely let it die, and then give some serious thought to whether there’s a place in its line-up for a full-size sedan. If there’s not—and I think that’s the right answer—they should consider developing a full-size…

I think there was an Integra in F&F 2, but since it was more of a bit-player in probably the worst out of that already not-great movie series I’d be surprised if it was placed on the FWD pedestal for that reason.

I think the Integra being on a pedestal thing has something to do with the fact that Honda has sorta abandoned the market, plus their overall wussification.

I think part of the problem is the “brand equity” to many people when they think of the Taurus is they think of this vehicle, which was everyone’s first car that ran rough and was only appreciated when you added a C, an L, and an I to the Taurus name.

I like the car...the way it’s shown in the pictures. But if it doesn’t come with those seats or those wheels, why show them in the pictures. I would vote NP for that car, but CP for trying to sell me something different.

For $9-10k you can get a pretty decent 300ZX TT, 3000GT, a nice E36 M3, a questionable E46 M3, a decent E46 330i, a nice bug eye WRX, a decent to “eh” hawk eye WRX, any number of 07-10 Civic SIs, the worlds nicest Focus SVT, a nice MK4 GTI, two very nice NA Miatas, one nice NB Miata and a shitty NA, a decent NC, or…
