It was a textbook disaster case of unnecessary empire building.

the condoms thing was made up bs

Intoxicated people are a menace, whether they’re drunk or high.

No, it will be 4 years. There aren’t enough Red States in the country to pass a new constitutional ammendment.

A good CEO is constantly planning 3-10 years in the future. They should already have plans in place for the next 2+ years and a team of VPs working on their parts of the plans. A bad CEO is constantly shifting plans, meddling with day-to-day activities, and keeping focus on the next quarter. Minor changes in plans will

Everything is made in such massive volumes and there are so many speculators that there are no one-of-ones or limited/low production cars to collect’

Jalopnik, as usual, doing zero research.

To be even more fair, *IF* there were 4Runners for sale, you wouldn’t be paying MSRP for them anyhow. Probably $5-10k over.

Yup!  I’d be shocked if this wasn’t one of those.  I had a pre-order on one for two years and luckily pulled out of it once I saw how underwhelmed my wife was with it at a showing in Seattle.  So I’ve been following this whole saga with fascination.  Ha ha!

That’s what a lot of companies do already to put some vague claim that their products are “made in the USA”. The slack-jawed yokels look at that sticker

Yeah, I had LiMu with alumni discounts, etc and still cut into the new rates by almost $1000 for the bundle. Love me some NJM.

Yep we built our system based on these exports, keep asking why we don’t refine here, no business case for it, easier to ship crude than all sorts of other products

The look on his face would be priceless lol

This would totally work, as long as said manufacturer first “donates” at least $100 mill into The Orange Foolius’ bank account. Will be amazing to see the many work-arounds that are permissible after all the important palms are greased.

Too lazy to watch the videos...

I think the take-home message is that "they don't build them like they used to," and that is very likely a *good* thing haha

That’s fair

Yeah, Farmer’s would definitely have been in that price range. I usually stay on Beverly just up the street from there/by CBS studios, and have walked down there before. Now there is a Trader Joe’s across from there, but in 2010, there probably wasn’t a McDonald’s in that immediate area, and as you noted, if you don’t
