Agreed at that point. If it was an OLD one then sure. My parents house was a great use case. The cost for them from one change was about $50 a month. They do a good bit of laundry as my mother is one that washes 2 towels per load...

Not to mention dramatic overvaluation to begin with.

And as a penny stock, it’s still valued 20 times too high.

The bigger news today is that Vinfast has “paused” construction of its North Carolina factory. I was always skeptical that Vinfast plans would come to fruition. I suspect that “paused” will turn into “cancelled.”

Aside from that you using a lot of power (not judging btw), no one should need to power their homes for a month.  Charge during the day with renewable energy, discharge at night.  Have a battery that will outlast a few cloudy days and thats perfect.  Why they are even thinking about an entire month seems silly to me.

Those are streets in Sacramento if that clears things up... and no, it doesn’t.

2011 was the last year for a manual transmission Camry and that was the 2.5 4 cyl.  I have a 2010 that just clicked over 290K.

Buying any car, new or used, is a crap shoot. This Benz appears to have the right stuff, so odds appear in this Benz’s favor despite my big Germanmobile misgivings. And getting me to NP a Benz is quite the accomplishment.

I get annoyed by it too, but really, what do you expect.

My folks once sold an Altima to someone from MD (went from an Altima to a Baltima) and he insisted that they “guarantee it would pass MD inspection”. Woof.

I believe companies get around this by locking the employees out but keeping them on the books (pay and benefits) for the notice period. This is also, no so coincidentally, the penalty for not providing notice....

A pilot who just woke up after a nap wondering why the sky is full of trees all of a sudden.

TLDR: People are aware of the challenges you mentioned and it has been accounted for in the plans - obviously plans are not the same as execution, so we might have hiccups in certain regions and certain areas do the lack of funding or incompetence.

It’s “get rid of some service techs, and then make the remaining ones answer phones and make appointments”.

They will use the tesla app and you request the queue like tesla drivers. Works in the EU just fine. Has for a few years already.
It will add more volume at these stations. Especially in cities where the only DC stations are Tesla ones. Should be a fun bit to see what is goig on there soon.
The fun part is the “other

TLDR: Why are you trying to mansplain what it’s like to charge an EV to someone who has been charging an EV for 7+ years

Does it show long long it will take the owner to actually return to their car and move out of the spot so you can start charging?
