Yeah I didn’t quite get that Xitter pop with the number 1 suggestion that OEMs integrate it “for free”. Sorry, but building it into the car isn’t free unless Tesla is going to pay for that part.

And for a good reason: Most of the EV-only companies are headed by grifters, scam artists and frauds. I also mentioned Theranos, as Elizabeth Holmes has so much in common with the EV company heads.

I wouldn’t restomod a Hammer, but the G-Wagen wheels look better on a sedan than a capable off-roader.

Look to the Tacoma as an indication of what the new 4Runner will be.

The worst of that story is that it’s not even Canoo’s jet. They are reimbursing a company owned by the CEO that operates the jet, so there’s no telling if the CEO is just using his own company to bilk Canoo out of money for fake flights or massively inflated/made up costs. I would bet there’s zero oversight happening

It’s also telling that the jet plane money is being paid to a company owned by his family.
Canoo was just a way to skim money from one publicly traded company to another wholely owned personal account.
Probably never really meant to make a marketable vehicle.

So many of these were brand new to market in Q1 2023 that these YoY numbers are practically meaningless. At least take them with the hugest grain of salt.

Toyota likes making money (Ford is ~$7 billion in the hole on EVs so far), and doesn’t need to do big announcements like killing off sedans, and unveiling EV F-150s, Cybertrucks, etc to juice their stock price. I thought that was the norm for multi-year old cars or discontinued models that get sold “new” later on, typically at a huge discount. It’s like getting an off-lease car with new car warranty/rates.

Hello, fellow humans! My name is Mr. Realguy Notabear, and I am a professional salmon fisherman. I would like to volunteer my human services in removing the accidentally deposited lunch from this creek. I will use my large, clawed, human hands to swipe the fish out of the creek, then remove them professionally,

Samir, you are breaking the car

If we are comparing a Mini to a VW, more reliable is a relative thing.

I was serving Jury duty during the 2017 eclipse. The judge temporarily excused court to let us walk outside and experience it. She even provided viewing glasses for us. Cool judge.

I was thinking more of widening the Bridge rather than the channel. Aside from Fort Carroll you have the McCallister Kids (power transmission line pedestals) to the North.

I doubt you’d get to 100k on the VW without replacing the water pump. It’s a German thing.

Not really true if the key fob dies and there’s no way to get into or start the vehicle.

It's a conspiracy!

They’ve lost their spine.

Manufacturers remove the shift know of their vehicles at just about every auto show I’ve attended for the past 40 years.

I read elsewhere that the discounts start on Friday.
