I see the opposite on my old ass hybrid (2009 Escape). I have put way way way less money into maintenance on that car than my ICE cars.

I also believe this law comes right after the Na Na, Na Na, Boo Boo stick your head in Doo Doo clause. Shortly followed by “I got your nose” revision.. Yea just go buy another pair and learn from your mistakes.
Yeah that’s kind of the problem, right now there is no simple way to deal with an EV fire, pretty much the only option is dump thousands upon thousands of water on it and hope for the best. And unlike an ICE fire and EV fare can come back days later without warning. So even storing them after the fact is dangerous.
Looks like someone found them and stole them
Laughs in tik tok
Like Ok I can get being distracted on say a highway, still really DUMB but I can kind of get it, it’s a normally boring mundane drive, but why the fuck are you distracted on what look like the twisties.
1st Gear: Also not shocking as for many/most communities the fire fighting falls on the shoulders of typically under funded, over worked, and under staffed volunteer departments. So this is not shocking that they don’t have the training nor the new tools to be able to combat this issue.
Most do that, actually. Not only that, they finance another car before paying off the last one.
The best one I’ve seen is the disabled upfit credit. So you only qualify if you need to fit hand controls.
Yeah, we spent many years referring to our cars by the color. Only recently duplicated silver, although one was a champagne silver and this one has a smokier tone. Yes, nine cars and nine distinct colors.
Nowadays I just have my go-to parking garage and park there even if it’s quite a walk to my destination. Easy-in easy-out, open 24/7 as far as I’ve encountered, automated pay terminal and such, and free bathroom!
Years ago I parked in an underground parking garage in an unfamiliar part of a city and came up through a stairwell in a mall. Went to a baseball game. Came back and the mall was closed so I couldn’t get back down the same stairwell. There’s a zillion underground parking garages and some of them connect. Took over an…
Philadelphia parking garage at the airport. Wrong level. Hours of looking and tears. I was WAY younger than I am now.
Not be a lazy Karen, and call around yourself to find your own hotel with a room available?
99.9% chance it’ll be fine: boring and a bit cramped, but fine. Flying is inconvenient, but you shouldn’t be feeling too bad about it — all news organizations like to emphasize the worst news possible.
Sounds awful, but there is no way it was literally true that there were no hotel rooms anywhere. There may have been no hotel rooms in United’s system of hotels they usually use for such circumstances. When that happens, you book your own and then demand reimbursement from the airline.
those can both def be bought for under 100k together. good job reading and understanding the assignment.
ND out of principle, regardless of what the market says. I know $10k isn’t a ton of money, but I can’t justify that to myself for a 30-year old, 2wd, single-cab truck that is basically a commemorative plastic beer cup from a race that nobody even remembers.
If you haven’t driven one lately, I encourage you to check out Mazda’s product line. My wife and I were so convinced, that we’ve purchased two (one brand-new off the lot) Mazda’s in the last 10 years. We owned the new 6, and a previous generation of the CX-9. They outshined the BMW’s at the dealership next door, and…
Expensive cars in general have steep depreciation. Ever price a 3-5 year old S-Class or 7-Series? Typically 50% depreciation.
