Yep, I know 125% sounds impressive. But start with a small enough number and you can get absurd % increases while not really doing any volume. Just look at Fiat and the new 500e, that will have huge increases in 2024 and 2025, but the numbers will be tiny still and most likely be a profit loser, even with huge %

If you liked the model you owned, you can go hunting for the same one on the used market. So many EV’s are leases with similar terms that you will have a decent amount to choose from when yours is up.

Even if residual is higher than buyout you can usually still buy it at current value. Depends a bit on the lease company, but if they know what it is truly worth, most of the time they will sell it to you at that price instead of trying to auction it off or something like that. It is all just a big “it depends”.

While I see your point, you need to zoom out a bit further. 30k units over an entire year, across the entire US is so little. That is .2% of total new car market in the US. Add in that it is taking thousands of dollars off, and you can guarantee they are pretty much losing money selling these. Depending on where

And the story that link doesn’t tell is how many of those sales were fleet sales? AKA, not profitable deals. Every rental agency (that I have seen)that offers a mini-van for rental has the Pacifica available...

Yep, easy peasy. This thing is actually cheap enough that I thought it might be a scam.

Gas burns fast, EV batteries have way more thermal energy than a tank of gas. Plus, even more and way worse fumes from burning. There is a reason it takes thousands more gallons of water to put out one EV fire than a gas car fire.

Yep, 174k miles on an ‘86 is nothing, around 4,500 miles a year. My car that is 20 years newer has 120k more miles. Now, there may be some stuff that needs a look since it is almost 40 years old, but miles are pretty much a whatever on this.

I remember mine had a little silk bag to put the faceplate in too. Ahh, the good old days...

Looks like a lot of EV’s to catch fire too, that should do wonders for the efforts to stop the fire.

You need the important stuff!

Not 100% sure, but I will try and educate anyone if I can.

This looks so much like an original Fiata. I know they aren’t related, but holy NB Miata vibes.

We got 4 maybe 5" here in Bmore on Sunday/Monday and I went on a random trip to the store Saturday (maybe sunday night, I forget). There was essentially no Milk, bread or eggs. It was hilarious to me. We live in a relatively large city with decent snow handling ability, no one is getting stuck in their house for

Limited trim starts at $68k, and without any additions and adding delivery it is just under $71k. So not sure how you can build one for $67k.

Biden tariff is only on Chinese EV’s. Trump was talking about blanket tariffs on ANY car imported.

I know what it is saying, 6 cylinders instead of 8, but that is also 3/4 or 75%!!! Haha.

It is nice and even, what number would you pick?

It is actually a 3.4oz or 100ML limit. So 100ML is your answer as to why it was choosen.

HOPEFULLY since they are in Ch 7 BK some or most of it will be repaid in the proceedings. I can only hope that the BK had not been finalized before the charges were filed. If they were charged prior to BK being dismissed this penalty would be put in the line of creditors and hopefully at the top before others get paid
