Oh yea, great deal in 2 years overall. More talking to the people that would buy one and not lease it. Pretty much all the EV’s especially the ones that are not great are in the same boat.

Streamlined building of cars to squeeze out profits to the max IMO.
Yea, the Chimera here in the sates is about half that price for well less than 100k miles. Most on BAT are in the $12-15k range and around 70k miles, so way more affordable.
I was thinking kind of the same, but on the Conti, I was thinking, “wait I thought that WAS dead? Are they still making them and I forgot about them that much?”
That is a lot of “ifs” that can easily be defeated.
Wendy’s? I just hope they do a collaburger together the Brazilian Helio Burger or something. I might actually buy one!
This is exactly what I was thinking. But it would be like Nissan to bring out an off-roader 5 years after all the other ones have been out for 2 years.
“All Nissan needs to do is appear competent...” Yea, that is going to be a big ask of Nissan at the moment.
Yea, this is pretty much true. But at a certain point the warranty is no longer valid. Also, as long as it has never been tilted, it gets reported as a new car sale (I am pretty sure at least), so could have also been a loaner or even a shop/delivery car or something like that.
Parked way in the back of the lot and they forgot it existed. Or the transmission was blown when driving off the truck to be delivered and they just got it fixed.
Should be around $20k, which is 50% deprecation in 2 years, that is pretty bad.
The Chimera is pretty reasonable to buy, honestly. This one will end up maybe mid to high teens?
Haha, I was reading that comment and was thinking, “aren’t those both dead and have been dead for quite a bit?”
Yep, that is my exact plan. Looking for a 4 seat ‘vert that the whole family can ride around in during nice weather. Hopefully it will be a bit faster and more fun than our daily cars too, which shouldn’t be hard, haha.
It is like we are also forgetting about funny cars and top fuel dragsters. I know they are outliers, but they are uhh, pretty fast. That and as you have mentioned, tons of tuner cars out there putting down crazy numbers in quarter mile and top speed, Texas mile event anyone?
Yep, it is all easy peasy in fantasy land.
Yea, I am pretty much on the ride it till it dies train for my car and my wife’s may never really “die” at it’s current rate of usage. We bought it in ‘17 with 36k miles so in 7 years have put about 60k miles on it and I drove it for a year or two and drive more than average.
Yea, that is a great question. Looks like I can find a bunch in that price range, but higher miles. Maybe bought it from a relative back when it was like 10 years old?
Yep, after replacing both my freshwater line and wastewater line in the first 5 years of ownership, I can attest to that (I am also in Bmore, not that that means this person will have to do that too). Add to that painting and redoing some small interior things, then having to redo my rotten front porch and then…
I get it, just with buying a house (they are expensive to own sometimes) and still having a small kid (also expensive) it looks like it would be better to wait a year or two before buying another car “just because”. With the amount of driving it looks like this person does, it doesn’t make a ton of sense to get…
