Yea, I am pretty much on the ride it till it dies train for my car and my wife’s may never really “die” at it’s current rate of usage. We bought it in ‘17 with 36k miles so in 7 years have put about 60k miles on it and I drove it for a year or two and drive more than average.

Yea, that is a great question. Looks like I can find a bunch in that price range, but higher miles. Maybe bought it from a relative back when it was like 10 years old?

Yep, after replacing both my freshwater line and wastewater line in the first 5 years of ownership, I can attest to that (I am also in Bmore, not that that means this person will have to do that too). Add to that painting and redoing some small interior things, then having to redo my rotten front porch and then

I get it, just with buying a house (they are expensive to own sometimes) and still having a small kid (also expensive) it looks like it would be better to wait a year or two before buying another car “just because”. With the amount of driving it looks like this person does, it doesn’t make a ton of sense to get

That is very true. Just seems crazy to predict that when overall car market is maybe up a percent or two in total sales and when a $7,500 tax credit for EV’s is most likely going away which will probably mean EV sales go down or MAYBE stay flat.

Yea I know. I was there about 9 months ago. There were some killer lease deals on EV’s (still are, but that is when I first started looking), but after running the numbers it just wasn’t worth it for that “new car” feeling. My wife’s car is paid off, has like 93k miles, is a ‘13 and she gets 40+ MPG and only has like

20 to 30% growth? This dude just makes shit up constantly.

I am going to be a real Debbie downer, but I think the answer here is to not buy anything right now. ’06 Accord with only 110k miles isn’t going to cost you much to keep running, so I guess unless you absolutely want an EV, it just seems odd. My wife and I are in a similar situation, and it just doesn’t make financial

Yea, so this isn’t the same thing at all. That is changing the speed limit from 55 to 70 or anything like that. You are talking about wholesale infrastructure upgrades and changes which is way different.

Yea, but still a great built-in market, especially for the retired and not so well heeled ex-NBAers.

While I agree with that to some extent. The hitting “911" and it sending an “urgent notification to rider support” makes me think they want to screen the calls before they go somewhere that might find something interesting or scary about their rides.

I drive past it to and from work. That isn’t a cemetery though, that is a house. They planted all those bushes a few years ago to block the noise and stuff from the 5 lane road at the end of this small street. Once I saw it, I recognized those bushes.

My ‘07 Highlander Hybrid is still going strong at 295k miles. The battery has definitely seen better days, but it still works, just has noticeably reduced capacity.

Hmm, I wonder why they would want to make any “911" calls indirect? Like maybe they want to hide the fact that stuff goes wrong in their driverless cars and they don’t want anyone to know?

Define “free”? Is that just purchase price or does that include maintenance and other associated costs? If it includes other costs, I am going with something super rare and expensive since I couldn’t afford it otherwise. I’ll go with a Ferrari 250GTO, I will never be able to afford one and wouldn’t even be able to pay

Not a cemetery, but it is right here!

Where this is located, it has definitely been sitting for a while, and this is a sale after death or after moving to a care home and selling the house transaction.

I saw Bmore and then looked at the pictures and knew this was right down road from my office. I went NP, the area this is in means it is probably a one owner car that was well taken care of. I wouldn’t buy it, but someone out here might want it.

I doubt anywhere near 2% of the country knows this organization exists, maybe .02%, but probably even less than that since that is 66k people or so.

Yep, those damn Kei cars are hurting everyone!!!
