My wife could make do with a low range EV since she has a low mileage commute, and we can easily charge at home on a 110v or could put a 220v in our garage (albeit more of a pain to charge). But her current car gets 45MPG and is paid off so it is hard to make the switch. Although, I could see it happening in the next

I don’t think almost all mortgages are subsidized by the gov, but if you can prove that to me, then OK (I know neither of mine were). Sure, there are some subsidies on loans and other things, but to get a $6bn loan with just 10% in capitalized interest (meaning they pay 10% total, not 10% APR or any other percentage

While I don’t agree with his take, I do find it crazy that a public company can get a gov loan for $6bn ($600mm is capitalized interest), so $6.6bn total. But when I get a house or car loan I am paying way more than 10% total interest over the life of the loan.

They will 10's maybe DOZENS of these things!

That is what I thought I remembered, and I did look it up and find it to be the case. I could make do with a V6 F-Type manual though, would definitely look at the V8 versions too.

For $5k, maybe $7k, I would be OK with that. But any more than that, not too sure. 90 miles on a good day of range is just bad. I would rather spend $5k on something else personally.

Did the V8 ever come in a manual? I assume it must have, but I think the V6 version did for longer or maybe only. That would be a reason for me personally, if the V6 was the only one with a manual available.

Well, that is something. Nice to see that my wife’s car should be pretty safe though.

When you try and be a “cool” dad only to have this guy and his god damn kids ruin your parade.

I went ND even though the price seems to be in line with the limited comps. I just can’t imagine paying this much for something that is going to be worth way way less in just a few years. But if you are in the market for one of these, seems OK, even with that not great range.

My buddy and I swap tires twice a year and both have separate sets of winter/summer wheels and tires. Makes it so much easier. Now I need to get my wife a sweet summer setup. I also have a lift and a heated (if I want) garage with sound and a TV, so that makes it a lot more fun to do, actually doing it this evening.

Uhh, we got the Celica all-trac for 2 generations (ST 165 and ST 185, just didn’t get the ST205), which is just a GT-Four with a different name. And the Celica-Supra was pretty cool too.

Haha, sounds like my mechanic, except every time he finishes a job, he smells like beer. I only go back because he is pretty nice and does cheap work at the hours that suit me...

Where I am, the Altima and Infinity drivers aren’t really getting into big crashes, just a shit load of fender benders and driving like jerks.

Got ya, I thought you were talking about Biden there for a bit. I put 1919-1921 out of my memory, was not a great time in my life.

My far-out joke, maybe not a joke, is that Tesla’s will be the only vehicle you can legally buy in the future. But there is some sort of chance that only Tesla will qualify for a rebate or something.

Wait, what president are you saying had a stroke?

I mean, it looks like the options are merger or possibly BK, so same outcome, just a different way to get there.

I feel like that should have done it to the GRC instead or why not both?!

It is a nod to the ranch that Toyota bought to build its Texas truck plant. The ranch was established in 1794.
