The way it is supposed to work and what I understand as the law is that if you are in the intersection under a green or yellow light, you have the right of way to clear the intersection, even after the light turns red. But I went into the intersection when the light was red, so I got a ticket.

Yea, it is a really shitty “solution” to a problem. I am all for enforcement on crap drivers. But the purpose of enforcement should be to correct the poor driving, not just generate money from it, especially in a school zone.
