I would imagine it does, but breathalyzer and field sobriety tests are pretty easy to get poor results from. I would think that any decent lawyer could get the charges dropped or reduced if that was the only proof of DWI. A blood test however, is much harder to prove as being false.

You have to remember that these two plants are being brought from ICE or maybe Hybrid production to EV production. So, there is a lot more to do than just change out stuff for a new generation of the same model. And if you are going from one platform to a whole new platform it is a bit different.

Plant opening and/or retooling is not the same as product development and likely has nothing to do with one another.

Hey! Don’t forget the massive lease incentive they had back in March or April.

2nd Gear: I am sure Lucid will just make up those losses in volume! Their quarter is going to be a massive financial disaster. Luckily the PIF keeps funneling money into that cash incinerator.

Ahh the old “AI” trope. I work in advertising and hear this way too much. I can bet that this isn’t AI in any real sense. At best, it is a company that scrapes prices and then suggests a price that is adjusted to location based on other prices. At worst, it is just BS to justify a price without reason.

Yep, I have long talked about his wife being the CFO and what a mess it had to be. They had three head of accounting people in about a month. The first one probably left because everything was fucked, the next one probably got hired with fake docs to make it look fine then realized it wasn’t. The third was probably a

I am 100% fine if someone wants to watch a rated R movie on a plane, but forcing everyone to watch it or be exposed to it is my issue. I have also found that a lot of stuff has been uprated over time, so things that were PG or whatever in the 80's or 90's are not any longer (looking at you Disney!). But it also seems

I was going to call out how comparing share price is not a great metric. But in looking at market cap, Vinfast is just under $9bn and Luicd just under $8bn. I am very surprised by that fact.

My kids go to a small private school, so they are a bit behind on some of that stuff compared to maybe a regular public school. Still doesn’t change the fact that this movie doesn’t sound like something that should be screened in a public setting. I have never seen it and I am not an uptight or conservative person,

It is no one else’s job to raise my kids. So, exposing them to inappropriate content against my will is not cool to me.

They may, but I am not sure what happens there. Like if on my way home I rear end and total a Bugatti, can they come after me for everything I have since my insurance is only $200k or whatever?

Got ya, I wasn’t sure how it worked, but knew the rear wheels on mine are only driven via the electric motor.

I guess they still can, but suing someone in BK probably isn’t worth the legal fee’s. And not sure how insurance works in Europe, so may not even be possible.

Of course! But as I have said in other comments elsewhere, I may just be here for the pain in some of my car ownerships ideations.

Yea, it is a very odd take.

While I agree with you, there are still certain things I would rather not have to describe or define to my 5- and 7-year-old kids at this point in their life.

Not 100% sure on this, but a field sobriety test or breathalyzer is not grounds for a charge. But grounds for arrest, to get you blood tested, to be charged. Or at least that is my understanding on how it is supposed to work.

Would love to know if this company got any US gov money for their charger business. If they did, I sure hope that money get taken back. I knew the whole EV industry was a bit of a money suck, so now we will see how much of the gov subsidy money gets wasted into oblivion too, yea!

We have two kids, and I will tell you that buying another car seat or another car had/has literally nothing to do with not having a third. Three kids are a lot to deal with. With both of us working, 2 is just manageable enough to be almost unmanageable.
