Not 100% sure on this, but a field sobriety test or breathalyzer is not grounds for a charge. But grounds for arrest, to get you blood tested, to be charged. Or at least that is my understanding on how it is supposed to work.
Would love to know if this company got any US gov money for their charger business. If they did, I sure hope that money get taken back. I knew the whole EV industry was a bit of a money suck, so now we will see how much of the gov subsidy money gets wasted into oblivion too, yea!
We have two kids, and I will tell you that buying another car seat or another car had/has literally nothing to do with not having a third. Three kids are a lot to deal with. With both of us working, 2 is just manageable enough to be almost unmanageable.
Uhh, you could definitely get a ticket for going 0 - speed limit - 0 as fast as possible. Careless and reckless driving, plus other charges like exhibition of speed and street racing are there to get you too.
My ‘07 Highlander Hybrid has a CVT, but I don’t think it is an eCVT as the rear wheels are only powered by an electric motor. Not sure how the MGU plays into the full story, but if it as you described, I did not know. Fun fact, our other car is my wife’s CT200h.

Yep, not sure of the exact term and companies may use different ones, but guaranteed value is I think was Hagerty uses as their term. I would assume the value insured company would go after the at fault party for as much as they possibly can and then be on the hook for the rest.
I would assume that most people with high value cars have special insurance on them. You know that most people don’t have policies to cover the damage and going after the driver is most likely fruitless when you are in a 7 or 8 (even high 6) figure vehicle.

Yep, hybrid is the perfect setup since you have a low end power system (Electric) and then power at top end from ICE where a lot of EV’s run out of steam. It may be possible to have multi gear transmissions in EV’s for better top end in the future, but for now, hybrid is the best for ultimate speed. Plus, obvious…

Yikes, as someone else mentioned, I know it is auto specific. But it just seems to happen more and on a larger scale than other industries. I may have confirmation bias though, but unsure.
Yea, I agree with that. But I think hanging on to the idea is what some of this is. There are still real factory jobs, but definitely not as many as there once were and more than there will be in the future.
