Yep, I don’t love every loud car, but some sound great, and I really don’t mind at all.

Counter point, I think a lot of cars/trucks and bikes do sound cool or good. But maybe I am just a 37 yo 12 year old.
Yea, unfortunately this report doesn’t account for prices by OEM. I would bet that Subie, Honda and Toyota (Other possible here too) all still have very strong used car prices while others are brining that average down.
My ‘07 Highlander Hybrid just hit 290k last week during a 500 mile 2 vacation round trip while loaded to the gills. I would have more miles, but my wife drove it for about 2 years after our second kid was born.
I have a lift in my garage and it is awesome. I don’t do any crazy work since my cars are pretty reliable. But it will be nice when I do buy another or other cars that may not be daily drivers.
WHATS NEXT $300,000 MUSTNAGSSW!!!
I wouldn’t say I am old, but I do know the 90's ZR-1. I can’t find pricing for last generation ZR-1's to compare. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter, I am not buying a C8 vette. It just seems wrong to me as far as pricing goes, it is still a Chevy.
Yea, the manual isn’t happening here. Base with a manual would be sweet IMO.
I literally called out the base price in my comment. It is just my opinion; you are free to disagree with it.
Talking about MSRP, not real world OTD pricing. I agree that the numbers kind of back up the price, but it is still a Cheby.
We don’t know the real numbers here though. Rivian’s are pretty bad when you just look at gross profit without factoring in R&D and other costs and just get worse when you look at everything. Ford conveniently leaves out the Model E gross profit and margin, so who knows. I would bet it is in the negative $10k/car area…
This isn’t a TTV6 inherent issue though. The TTV6 Hybrid powertrains seem to be fine so far. This was just a bad process issue. Good on them for replacing all the engines, even ones with no failure shown yet, some of these have been in operation for almost 3 year now and even those people will get a free engine at no…
I just feel like it has gone way upmarket, especially in the Z06, E-Ray and now ZR-1 trims. The base starting at $70k seems like a solid deal for what you get, honestly. Just not sure a $110k to $200k ‘vette works in my brain right now. I know C7 Zr-1's were up there though.
That is true too, I also wonder how easy it is to get a “base” ‘vette. Like they show a $70k starting price, but can you actually order that?
I agree with you on that and not as easy to compare since I don’t think there was a C5 Zr-1, but what was the price delta between a base C5 and the Z06 and then a base C6 and the Zr-1 C6? I don’t think the Zr-1 C6 was 2x+ the cost of a base C6 and for the C5, was the zo6 1.5x expensive from the base so $65k? Maybe I…
But, do the companies have to provide them or are they purchased to be tested? I am talking about it as a cost of doing business as far as selling a car here in the US. We can let all the random low volume cars go, but if you sell more than 1k, you gotta make an extra 2-5 for crash testing on the company’s dime.
Yea, I guess so. I don’t fly a ton for work, mostly drive. So I try as hard as I can to keep all my rewards in one place so I can maybe eventually use them. So Mariott and Southwest are my go to, no matter where I am going.
Ahh got ya. I guess I am lucky on that end, I can turn in expense reports for all kinds of crazy stuff since I work at a relatively small private company. Nothing bad or anything like that and all business related, but my boss who is the owner is pretty lenient on that end. Some of the things he has told me to expense…
That is rough, I know in Philly in situations like this they would do a non-detain tow. Like just move your car, still puzzling as hell, but not as bad as having to pay to get your car back.
While it is arguably awesome, I feel like the C8 has done away with what a Corvette was supposed to be. I know the base C8 is like $70k, but the fact that the Zo6, E-Ray and now the ZR1 are all over $100k and the ZR-1 will probably be over $150k, just seems anti-corvette to me.
