Haha, gotta love when a company is thoroughly disconnected from reality. They might deliver or “sell” 100k units in 2024, but we all know they won’t be real sales. Just internal shuffling into Pham Nhat Vuong’s pockets.

Got ya, I did see another comment clarifying this after I posed mine. That makes more sense than what is written here. I thought they were going the polestar route and just naming shit however they want with no rhyme or reason.

Yea, I agree that it looks good overall in photos. But I have seen a few in person and something just looks...off to me. Not really sure what it is. I drive past one almost every day near my kid’s school and something doesn’t work in person through my eyes.

Ahh, that makes more sense. I was super confused by that.

So the CX-70 is a three row and the CX-90 is two rows? That seems confusing to me, but oh well. Also, $50k to $60k for a Mazda, that seems...steep.

Just swim over to Japan and you are good!

Yea, at least you will get another chance when this iteration goes up in smoke like his last one. Don’t get fooled a third time.

Yep, I would agree. I guess hot take can also be utter garbage takes too.

It is Fisker, what did you expect? Don’t worry, Henrik’s wife is the COO & CFO, sure there is nothing to worry about there, right?

1st Gear: Lucid and Rivian are in big trouble, like really big. Rivian lost $5.4bn in 2023, flat deliveries for 2024 with worse margin due to price cuts. Loing orders and no replacement in their order books, it looks very bleak. Lucid is destined to either go BK or go private via PIF once shares drop even further, IMO.

Yea, I guess it was a good idea. But this feels more like a requirement/regulatory vehicle than an actual vehicle they want to sell. $60k for the top trim and $48k for the EX (not sure if there are other trims) seems like way too much for this vehicle.

If you tuned into Lucid and Rivian’s earnings calls and report yesterday, you would see that they will probably lose money on these. I don’t believe for a second, they will actually make money, sure, maybe gross profit. But that doesn’t really matter at the end of the day.

Slide 8: What a terrible take. This is complete ignorance, let’s just tax the shit out of people that can’t afford EV’s or living in a place they can easily charge one. That isn’t a hot take, it is an utter shit take.

Dollar to power ratio is pretty terrible. This looks like an unmitigated dud to me. I am sure they will sell some due to it being a Honda, but yeesh.

Sounds like the old, “head in the sand” financial trick. Little hint here, it never works.

I have great news for you, new 4runner with hybrid (based on new Tacoma) coming Q4 of this year. Probably not at dealers until ‘25 though.

Yea, definitely not Nassau. I like it because you can kind of do both tourist stuff (which consists of the beach and/or pool, no real amenities on the island) or do local stuff. It sure as hell isn’t the Disney or Carnival cruise corporate beach. Plus, I almost got into a golf cart accident with Brooke Shields and

Agree that modern luxury is and can be tacky, I just feel like the 80's-90's luxury barges were kind of meh. Timeless is a few decades older, IMO.

Haha, yea that is a pain. I don’t get my car serviced anywhere but my garage for anything that isn’t a 6+ hour job or so. My maintenance mechanic knows not to mess with my lights, but he has other issues. Drinks on the job and is slow, but he is cheap!

Mine don’t turn on with the wipers which can be a pain sometimes, but overall, not a huge deal. On the plus side, my DRL’s are always on and unless it is heavy rain the lights will auto come on most of the time when it is raining due to lack of light.
