On the flipside of this coin, I'd love to see an "average" or"mediocre" Formula 1 driver do a track day in something like a Miata or non-AMG C-Class and decimate all. I remember hearing that when John Britten went to Daytona, the other teams were stunned when his team would light up the bike cold and send it straight onto the track. He told them "If it dies, it deserved to die." Don't know if it's a true story, but it sounds very much like something Britten would have done.
