Ignoring the completely new model that just came out, it’s true that the Miata went largely unchanged for 10 years (yeah, it had some facelifts, but no major mechanical upgrades). But remember, Mazda was dumped by Ford, left on life support, and desperately trying to stay alive for most of the past decade.
