@Tatsuya: My advice is that you DON'T start with the original. Start with Super Metroid. The original is barren and clunky by today's standards. But you should at least experience the first few minutes of play of the original, so you can understand the "feel" of the series.

@rich8606: Dude those descriptions — that's why I love Japanese games. Have you played the Vanquish demo yet? There's not much story revealed, but what is there is all batshit silliness. I lol'd when the camera cut back to the hero and he's suddenly smoking a cigarette.

@elijabet: I rented it when it first came out on VHS. I have no idea why. I've loved it since then. I didn't fall for most of the other Cohen Bros movies, but they've got a real classic on their hands with this one.
