I’m frequently called a grammar nazi and I try to let things go. But truly draw the line at “literally” being acceptable usage to mean “figuratively”.

This is pretty annoying. Why are these things, which seem to have been so ingrained in our brains since elementary school, turn out to be untrue? The other sort of related one is using two spaces after a period when typing. I was always taught that and now being told its not a thing.
