Wow, yea, glad I dont know those people. Also, those people suck.

These comments def went in a different direction than I thought. Splitting checks evenly has always been my view when dining with friends. Then again, we dont have friends who will splurge knowing this. And if I order something that is significantly more expensive than everyone else, I make up that difference and tell

This would obviously depend on the size of the party. If its 20 people, no way i do this. If its like 2 or 3 couples total, sure. Though i’m totally for splitting a check (evenly), I am against separate checks. As you said, grown adults with real jobs should expect to at least split evenly, or someone grab this one

So.... it was about the money.

Oh yea, totally, if you’re in a rush, thats fine. But in my case, its simply because my wife doesnt want to see him cry!

Yes, yes and yes! Our 20 month old is is starting to make good cognitive progress. And when doing certain things (such as sorting shapes) need time to properly orient the shape. I watch him as he struggles, but can do it, but will whine (maybe even cry) a little while he gets frustrated. My wife will then yell at me

Or you know, get yourself thrown into Russian prison

I was really hoping the first tip would be, “this is how you pronounce ‘Reykjavík’

For the record, Daniel Tiger is such an insult to Mr. Rogers.

Voice in a Can works on its own without your phone, so you could be out for a run and lock your doors or start your coffee machine.

Oh very nice. Currently using an app called “Simple Commands”, which is basically the same as Alexa. Only limitation is that the app needs to have the appropriate “skill” to control whatever smart device. It’s great for the larger names like Nest, Hue, Smart things, TP Link - but I have a couple of those Anker (Eufy)

For me, work-life balance is a thing, but I also call BS on those people too. I usually leave the office at a relatively rational 5:30pm. But I dont get home until 7 because of my commute (live in the ‘burbs, work in NYC). My kid is 20 months right now so not a huge issue, but once he’s older and into sports or other

My wife and I keep talking about getting a cleaning person. But for whatever reason we dont do it. Next thing you know, its Sunday night (well, Monday morning) at 1am and we’re just getting to bed - because we dont start cleaning until after the baby goes to bed.

Even though I dont personally bank with BofA, of all the crap I hear about them, between the crap fees, customer services and a story like yours, I vowed never to use them. Not that there are many good options out there.

Yes, delivery has been around forever, but not in the form of Uber Eats.

I mean, you kinda answer it here. Uber was (and to some, still is) a relatively new concept. And Uber Eats, at the time I used it, was brand new. Without being an Uber drive/delivery person do I know Uber’s business model? No. Do I know all the costs involved? No. Do I know how much that lunch cost to Uber vs. how

I can mail/venmo/zelle you the tip i didnt leave if it’ll make you feel better.
