Speed sometimes becomes and issue with email - i mean amazon is good that they usually reply in a couple hours. But if there needs to be some back and forth, that could take a whole day, and sometimes, I just want an issue resolved. Chat is almost as good/fast as calling, but with the audit trail.

Agree in general with what you’ve said, but a big reason i like the chat function is that you have an audit trail of the conversation (providing that a copy is sent to you or you can save it at the conclusion of the convo). I’ve had this for years and is great, as others have said, until you lose the card. Note that they allow you to add 2 cards, but you dont HAVE to provide info for 2 cards.
