Crikey. That's a lot of stuff!
Well, that video was very informative.
I can tell you that in person the CX-75 is fantastic to look at. I have yet to see the Porsche, but I sure want to given how much people like the styling.
I personally think the F70 is far uglier than the P1, but that's just me. All of these cars are divisive in their appearance, really. None of them are properly, unequivocally, classically beautiful.
I've not seen a 918 in person, but I doubt it's as pretty as the CX-75. That thing is incredible to behold.
Secretly? It's no secret. The only reason to buy a VW over a Skoda is for the VW badge.
Reliant Scimitar GTE? Princess Anne has one of those, don't you know?
Maybe it's because you have the natural resources and the space. You can do far more with a diesel, I-4 Defender than an F150, and use half the fuel.
Because you can get people in it, it's not exposed to the elements, it's more fuel efficient, it's easier to drive, handles better, and looks nicer.
Jalopnik. And you can, amazingly, have dirty stuff in the back of an estate or crossover.
Wow. I can count on one hand the people I know of who are as closed minded as you.
I've been to the middle of the country.
Question: Why do you need a bigger truck? What do you do with it? Not trying to be rude or argumentative here, I'm just curious.
It's just an example. The reason you don't get many sensible cars is that people won't buy them, because they don't think sensibly.
And how many people tow more than than 1500 lbs? It's plenty of towing capacity for most people.
No, they use something smaller and less powerful, or if they need real ability, they'll use a Defender.
This may shock you, but some Europeans live in very rural areas and have to do those same things.
Actually, it would. Read Peter Egan's column sometime.
It's amazing how the Europeans manage without such massive vehicles, isn't it? We use small vehicles and get by just fine. You're overestimating what needs to be done and underestimating something less annoying.
You know, I don't seem to have the problems you do with diesel emissions here in Europe. Yes, I live in Europe, too. But I've also lived in America. I know that a large number of people who use their trucks for work that isn't seriously heavy duty (construction, towing stupidly heavy things, etc.) buy something…
