Spider-Man has always been a popular Halloween costume choice for kids, but I am loving the idea of an 8 year old or whatever dressed up as Spider-Punk, instigating rebellion.

Wasn’t he in Gwen’s group at the end?
It also helps that Hobie and Gwen seem to be strictly platonic from the get-go. Sure they’d hang out a lot but when you see who Hobie is it makes a ton of sense. They’re both in bands, both dealing with a lot of big emotions, but they’re just buddies.
Love and Thunder was way sillier and trying much harder to be funny, but I think a lot of people were caught off guard by Ragnarok. Having watched that, you go in expecting it in L&T.
Yeah, I *loved* the moment when Miles is in the energy trap and amidst all the Spider-folks telling Miles that this is how it has to be, Hobie just motions to use the palms.
I was a bit worried his rebellion was just lipservice and he’d toe the party line of the Spider Society and I’m so glad I was wrong. Hobie fucking ruled. I love how much of an instigator he was for Miles’s story.
I didn’t think Love & Thunder was that bad but it did kind of squander the super-cool idea of Jane as Mighty Thor and was not as funny or well balanced as Ragnorak
I don’t necessarily think this is a hot take. I’m pretty certain this is what they were going for.
He was awesome! When he said oh and I quit I was like fuck yeah! I hope it isn’t the last we see of the character.
It probably won’t be as bad as Rise of Skywalker, so... you know... we got that going for us.
“It’s just like Star Wars without all that woke politics garbage!”
Oh boy, I sure am looking forward to conservatives bending over backwards to evangelize this expy until they end up gaming a prestigious award.
Ragnarok was the first MCU movie I watched. Nothing before appealed to me and I grew up on comics in the 90s. The Thor/Hulk buddy stuff looked hilarious, so I went and saw itr and loved it. Love & Thunder trailers started dropping and I could already tell it just didn’t have it.
I’m an elected representative of my Union and it seems to me that this is a failure on the part of the Union Leadership team, and not the rank and file. If the strike organizers have done a poor job explaining why they are going on strike -- and why everyone needs to show solidarity to support the movement — then they…
This just in, “professional” gamer is an idiot.
This is a lot of words to say that you don’t like the MCU and don’t trust them to do a good YA Spider-Man
Considering a traffic cop just got demoted for refusing to honour the NYPD’s literal “get out of jail free” cards, I’m gonna go with a hard no. They’re rotten to the core, and anyone who attempts to clean up the org from the inside gets hammered down.
I always think of this quote from Spider-Man producer Avi Arad back in 2014:
I disagree with everyone else so far. If Miles were to come to live action, keep him away from the MCU. They have had one, maybe two, competent movies post the first Avengers, and their Spider-Man writing has been terrible from the get go.
Most likely scenario: a graphic designer did this as a joke because the NYPD sucks, performative Pride sucks, and ACAB. No one caught it because they’re dumb.
