I haven’t lived back therah for fahrty fuckin’ yeahs, but that ad is kinda wicked pissah.

He’s also in Air and Jersey Girl with Affleck.

Or she really didn’t know how stressful performing on the show could be, or how much she would miss her kids. Lots of people really don’t know how they will react to something they’ve never experienced before.

That’s Matt Maher as the one cashier, most recently notable in Our Flag Means Death, but he’s also the bartender in Dogma in the scene where Azrael has the various characters held hostage in a bar near the end.

It’s not, really. Queer people seeing people like themselves in games is a big deal, because representation matters. Just like the fact that this is the first “out” hero (at release) matters too.

Upon reading the headline, I was going to comment “No, book bannings were worse in the 80s”, but upon further thought, I think I agree with her. Back then, they were (mostly) not *explicitly* political; rather, they were usually kicked off by some concerned citizen’s group (although I suppose some of them might have

Publishers shouldn’t be allowed to edit books as they see fit?

It made me happy to see Themberchaud. He’s the best fat dragon. I call him Themberchonk.

They probably also gave some thought to the fans who would be cosplaying. Made them easier to recreate by the average fan.

the bulge is kinda weird but this seems like the kind of thing someone would make custom rather than buy from a company.

They aren’t low level, they’re just broke scam artists. A druid needs to be level 8 to wild shape into a bear, and if we assume an owlbear is just a rule of cool version of a bear, that puts her at least 8th level. The sorcerer casts a 5th level spell at one point, and if we assume that’s the highest level he can cast

The local theater reported opening day was sparse, by Sunday it was sold out. It might be the word of mouth movie of the year.

Awesome. Thanks for the recommendation.

I saw this movie over the weekend and I gotta say, I really loved it. Obviously the more people say good things about it, the more hyped up it will be, so still go into it with tempered expectations. That being said, I still really loved it - especially the fight scenes! They were much better choreographed than they

Minimal spoilers, but the group is broke. They’re dressed how they are because they have NO money and are basically low-level characters. The only one with a cool outfit is Page’s character, who is a higher “level,” so to speak.

they’re awesome. at no point during my two viewings did i ever find the costumes dull or boring. could they have been neoned out and flashy, i guess? But they work, for real.

you absolutely need to go see it. Everyone should rightfully be a bit apprehensive about it, considering what happened Last Time, but hopefully when you go you’ll feel compelled to talk other people into seeing it as well.

I went twice.  It’s badass.  So fun.  I am a movie theatre big screen junkie though and always prefer to see them first that way.  It’s damn good man.

The bar may have been exceedingly low after the last D&D movie I saw in theaters, but I went with a group and they all loved it, including those who have never played the game.

Great film- my fellow campaign members and I saw it together.  Two of them are pretty harsh film critics but they loved it
