Sega already in the grave at that point after the Saturn reveal debacle.

From wikipedia:

Peter Parker is never shown drinking milk or eating cheese in the MCU movies, Into the Spider-Verse, or the Spider-Man games.

Peter uses a lot of Yiddish in the comics, is plagued by constant guilt, was invented by Jewish guys, was once the only non-black member of a superhero team (technically it was Doc Ock), and hates the prison industrial complex and the death penalty.

Peter also knows he’s not invited to the cookout because he knows enough black people to know no one is invited to the cookout anymore.

My favorite part about this argument is that Peter Parker has enough actual black friends in the real world (Hobie, Robbie, Randy, Misty, Luke, Miles, possibly Rio, etc) that he knows not to do the Wakanda Forever salute — which is why he’s not going to do it.

Really, it’s like the difference between eating a steak and downing a bag of potato chips: sure, that calorie intake may be the same, but the dining experience that leads to the consumption of either is very different.

RDJ has been one of my favorite actors since the 80's (and I specifically wanted him to play Iron Man after Heart and Soul when everyone else was cheering for Tom Cruise for some reason).

Blanchett and Hopkins are excellent actors, but neither of them needed their A-game to play, respectively, “evil Galadriel” and “Van Helsing as a Norse god.”

Videogame actors perform in ping pong balls on gym mats. Most actors learn in a black box wearing sneakers and jeans. The acting is there, as long as there’s an actual actor to work with (the lack of which broke Ian McKellen.)

Those problems also seemed unique to animation, and not like something that would cause major issues with actors in live-action

When all people can talk about in the promo material for Solo is how great the casting for Lando is, you may have misread your audience.

I’m honestly a little surprised Kennedy hasn’t been eased out of her position yet. I think everyone can agree that her “just let each individual director make it up on the fly” approach with the sequel trilogy was not successful, and her track record with the other Star Wars properties has been...mixed.

Then I found out a black guy wrote that and I just... don’t have strong opinions about that joke (which doesn’t stop me making it while Miles is on foot).

There are buildings and signs that other heroes are active in the setting, but they don’t actually show up.

Wakanda is canonically at the head of a Pan African solidarity movement in the comics, so this is why Miles, who is of at least 50% African descent (and probably more depending on which version of Miles’ Puerto Rican mom they go with here).

So, here’s a fun detail I discovered today.

It’s “a” future of gaming and always has been. It’s also been “a” past of gaming. It’s not replacing screens any time soon, which is what all the weirdos who keep forgetting the dozen or so times people keep trying to make it happen wish.

It’s a traditional Jewish phrasing, and Mayim Bialik, I believe, is Orthodox. “Releasing” people from guilt, fear, etc.

If Bialik had not been a teenager at the time of the sketch, I’m not sure it would be objectionable.
