Marvel used to do entire annuals dedicated solely to its characters in swimsuits. It was like reading one-shot “summer vacation” anime episodes minus the dialogue.

This is the End is an amazing kind of film; it has an insane cast of newly or soon to be famous people

There was a movie called “This Film is Not Yet Rated” about the secrecy and unaccountability of the MPA(A). One of the throughlines is that the MPAA just got increasingly drunk on PTA-energy and started slapping harsher ratings on foreign movies and nudity and gay kissing etc that made it harder to market films but

Robocop and Alien had toylines. Robocop and Rambo had animated series. Have to go back over a decade before Starship Troopers to see where this all started.

I’ve always seen ceremorphosis as a ticking time bomb and everything as having a cost. Although, now it looks like there’s no cost to sucking the life out of my growing collection of brain-bugs-in-a-jar to infuse myself with evil mind-controlling squid energy... but not mind controlling people is a habit I probably

Women were 52-55% of ticket buyers in the early 00's through the mid 10's. This number dropped as more roles went to men and fewer directing and writing jobs went to women (peaking around 2017-2018).

This time they confront Royal Guard violence against the Northuldra by standing arm in arm with the oppressed and dismantling the police. The police apologize and Elsa gives them a raise and brand new ice batons.

Rotoscoping is transformative work which may be considered commercial fair use depending on the level of transformation. And the copyright office stated that a human has to transform the AI’s work after it has been created to claim ownership of the final product.

Sounds like you’ve described how they end up with a fourth season of content: expanded scenes, SLC —> Seattle, Ellie’s journal, So Cal. It’s self-explanatory even if people don’t want them to cover it (which they definitely will).

The movie is probably going to be filled with references you don’t get. But it also appears to be a good movie on its own based on the 81% fresh rating on RT, so if you’re fine being immersed in a new culture and learning new things, you’ll be fine. If not, well, not sure how many movies there are to watch out there

Gunn has said he’s keeping Blue Beetle around for his era (probably because he knew how good it was going to turn out), so it’s technically the first movie of the Gunn era, it’s just not made by James Gunn.

Funny how the 90's action formula is just describing a bunch of sequels to 80's action movies that did the same thing first.

And everyone knows “Sophie” is the only reasonable name for a domicile.

Movie Anakin is the baby fascist mass murderer who hates everybody and thinks he’s entitled to power that would believably kill more people and demand more power. It’s a consistent portrayal across the last two movies.

The Last of Us Part 1 is a 15 hour game. The Last of Us Part 2 is a 30 hour game. They cut some of what they wanted for The Last of Us Part 2, so I can see them stretching it out. I can also see them trying to wrap it up with a final fourth season that hits the main beats of what would go into the final game.

1. Gina Carano’s a huge transphobe.

Rebecca Ferguson is 40 years old. Abby is a couple years older than Ellie.

The reviewer just lists a bunch of things they like and none they don’t. It’s not hard to see their opinion. Also this is in the second paragraph:
