The Last of Us Part 1 is a 15 hour game. The Last of Us Part 2 is a 30 hour game. They cut some of what they wanted for The Last of Us Part 2, so I can see them stretching it out. I can also see them trying to wrap it up with a final fourth season that hits the main beats of what would go into the final game.

This is how entertainment works these days. The journalists got smarter and more eloquent in their critiques of media, so the people the original backwards and regressive media pandered too got angrier and more skeptical of eloquent media critiques.
