Oh my god, that .gif just made my year. I will always adore Benny & Joon.

YES. Oh my god, that pain is unnatural.
PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
Hm, wonder if that does make a difference... But yeah, seriously, THE PAIN.
Oh, the mons is epically more painful for me. Kind of like the difference between an eyebrow hair that is regularly plucked and an errant one that gets grabbed by the tweezers on accident.
That last line needs to be the title of your memoir.
Ok, in looking it up, a French wax leaves a landing strip, removes the middle, and doesn't involve waxing the posterior. So, close to what we're describing but not exactly, unless everyone gives the choice your salon gave you.
Right? I'm not asking for this to get you to get all up in my business for no reason. It's a thing, I promise.
Wow, really? I had heard before that it was called a "Frenchie" but then when I booked the appointment and got there and actually described what I wanted the aesthetician told me that was the wrong term. She didn't have a name for what I was asking for. Maybe the people I've been to were just not well informed?
Basically you'll look like you have pubes from the front, everything below and behind is gone.
Just said nearly the same thing downthread. I shave as well, and have shaved like this for as long as I can remember. But going into a salon and asking to be waxed this way has earned me a lot of strange stares.
Ok, this is actually how I've groomed for years, meaning shaving {not something to be rushed through, by the way}. The few times I've gotten a bikini wax, it is SO HARD to describe this without having someone look at you like you're a freak. Either they've never heard of such a thing or they look at you like "why are…
I suppose you can look at it that way. I see it more as we were given a glimpse at the beginning of a whole new story at the finale. That is moving forward. :)
Ok, "rule" is a little strong, but I stand by the sentiment. I think there are a few widely accepted successes — Breaking Bad and Six Feet Under spring to mind — but I know many people who didn't like even the "good" finales you mentioned. If you're really invested in a show, you'll inevitably have your own opinions…
Did you watch the episode "Vesuvius"? Because that was your mourning Ted right there, only before Tracy died. And to me, at least, it was heart-wrenching and beautifully done. It also made sure to add in her blessing for him to move on, to not "live in his stories" and to move forward. I was sobbing like a little baby…
And that she died saving ANDREW of all people. Poor Anya. I just watched the series all the way through for the first time since it went off the air. Early 20s me was annoyed by Anya, early 30s me finds her delightful.
I know! I loved the hair and the spectacles.
"Salt? So bourgeois."
"I know you're upset, but before you say anything, I think you should read Baudelaire's Le Fleur du Mal."
"Whatever. At least the cock suckers got a damn ending."
