Only going by what I read here, she’s involved in generally silly “feuds,” has a “crazy” (by white bread terms) posse, her “love life” is “crazy,” etc. She needs to get into some REAL Brittney-Spears-shave-my-head shit before she actually becomes mildly…

It also doesn’t say to put your right hand on your heart, meaning “fist in the air” is still 100% in line with this policy.

You see on the one hand, the new version of the policy seems like a hugely cynical attempt to stifle legitimate, peaceful protest and retain the status quo for disgusting rich white men, but on the other hand, the old version of the policy spelled “ensure” wrong. Feels like there’s blame on both sides here.

I do think the protests are hurting. Just anecdotally I am shocked by the number of people who are in fact boycotting because of it. Do I think they are total idiots? God yes. But if I were the NFL I’d want idiots watching. They’re losing viewers on so many other fronts, why add another?

I’m shocked, shocked, that the NFL could do something so knee-jerk reactionary and myopic! Oh wait...

Americans take more offense to a Black man not standing for the anthem than they do from their own President who basically shits on veterans on a regular basis, because deep seated bigotry. Seems like it to me that Americans are the problem here, not the NFL or Jerry Jones.

Why is the NFL, and Jerry Jones specifically, keeping this issue alive? I don’t pretend for a second it is even remotely a moral stance. Hell I’d even respect them a little for it if it were. A little.

If the NFL crumbles from within because a 49er QB took a knee, I’ll be the smilingest motherfucker on the planet.

Whoa whoa. You’re telling me that white people in charge of young black men and also profit massively from these black men’s talents would change the rules and not say anything? And then use the revised rule as a way of punishing said black men for going against the wishes of their white employers? In America?

I absolutely love Jones’s seeming assertation that the people kneeling are apparently submitting to social pressure and thus need to be given incentive to stand against it. Because this is all it is about, protecting the players from those rabblerousers.

Oh god I so hope this is the opening volley in the labor battle that destroys the NFL
