Yeah that’s what I meant. To get the “experience” you need more time, but if everyone did that then the city would be beyond crowded.

I should have worded my thoughts better. If you are just doing the touristy stuff, then you can do it in a day. If you want to do it right, then take a few days dedicating most of the time to wandering with just your eyes, not with a selfie stick. 

If by “see everything” you mean all the tourist sites, then maybe you can rush through it in a day. If you really want to discover Venice, leave St. Marks, walk the canals, eat at cafes away from the Grand Canal, go see a string quartet on the water, and meet the locals. Warning, that might take 3 days and some effort.

If they ever name a ship after trump, it needs to be a garbage scow.
