It’s socialism in the republican nonsense usage of the word meaning “something [the poster] doesn’t like”, not in the actual definition of socialism.

My dad had a 2.6L Caravan. He had switched out a 2.2 Caravan for a 2.6 because the 2.2 was “gutless.” The 2.6 didn’t really have more power, but it did drink more gas.

So instead of updating or replacing the old thing the solution is to have a new thing that does some of what the old thing does and to also keep the old thing for an undetermined amount of time but make it less functional?
