Since the Challenger and Charger have exactly the same interior, that makes no sense. The interior of a present day car is totally different from my old ‘08 Charger R/T and ‘10 Challenger R/T.

Living with a Camaro was something that I wasn’t willing to do, so the Challenger R/T and later Scat Pack were an easy pick. I’m a Fordaphobe, so the Mustang, even if I liked the looks, which I didn’t, was out. The Camaro and Mustang are great driving cars with little utility(Both of them, the Camaro is worse), and…
Sadly, this kind of thing happens too often in the corporate world. I’ve known several UPS drivers over the years and a couple of mid level execs, and the driver’s complaints seemed to escalate over the years about the company’s sometimes insane rules and regs, not to the point many of them quit, they just took a…
First thing that comes to mind as far as fast food stuff that went away are Arby’s potato cakes. WTF were/are they thinking? Since Culver’s has come to town, I rarely eat at any other fast food place, but Arby’s killing potato cakes isn’t making me miss it much. Those crinkle cut fries and curly fries are fine, but…
I have a bad memory of yanking the top off of one of the Snack-Pack cans and slicing my left finger down to the bone at the last joint. It was the first time I used Crazy Glue on a cut that needed stitches. It healed up pretty well, just a shiny 1/16" scar where my finger bends. I had hurt my right hand, and using my…
I don’t think I could eat a bite of this horror show on a bet, and I won $5o from my dad, back when $50 was a fair amount of money, by eating one of his packed in mustard Sardines. The only thing worse than that Sardine was when I was in the shower and I got shampoo in my mouth and it instantly had me retching my…
My dad took me to see a lot of movies, mostly horror flicks, from the age of about 5 until 10, when he stopped for some reason. I never had any problems with any of them. Seriously, I was more upset about being made to sit through the following “classics”, which I hated almost every minute of:
The baked potatoes at the local Wendy’s seem to be underdone or ancient to the point of they should have been tossed. I gave up on them a while back after over a dozen duds in a row (All were senior citizens), and the value isn’t there anymore. Over $4 for a sibgle? It is not a good value. If I eat fast food anymore,…
The one in a friend’s F150 has finally pushed him back to a V8. He’s had 3 Egoboost engined vehicles, and all three were nothing but trouble. Ford’s response, “Too bad, we aren’t covering it!”. I would have been gone from Ford when his Windstar ate 6 transmissions in 3 years, but he can’t seem to buy any other brand.
Stunning isn’t the word that comes to mind when I see a C8. I kind of think, “Wow, did they ever mess that up!”. But I’m an old guy...the age of most Corvette buyers. If I was looking for one, I would go C6.
I thought the Y-pipe from the engine to the catalytic converter on my ‘86 Iroc Camaro was crudely done, but this, is at least as bad as that was. They couldn’’t find an even slightly sharp hole punch?
My present car is just about perfect, option wise. I got the exact car I built many times online, the only minor concession was color. But in the past, 1977 to be exact, I really screwed up and bought a rolling POS 1977 Dodge Power Wagon...without A/C. In Las Vegas. My mom felt sorry for me and she was planning on…
The 72 year old was one of those guys who rode his super expensive bike for 50 miles at a crack, so I kind of doubt he was in severe pain. More likely (I would bet) he wanted to get high and got some oxycodin tainted with fentanyl, and died.
In NW Ohio, most of the stuff taken that kills people is divided between Meth and Fentanyl. Cocaine is really “Old School” apparently. A guy I’ve known since we were 5 died recently of a massive stroke, but I just found out the stroke was probably due to the huge amount of cocaine he had just snorted. I had no clue he…
In Vegas about 1975, I was at the Albertson’s near my apartment. It was August, and about 110 degrees and this guy came into the store wearing a trenchcoat. He apparently thought he wouldn’t stand out! He went back to the meat coolers and started putting trays of steaks under his coat. At that point, the anti-theft…
The Idahoans are pretty decent, but I’ve had some other brands of them that are just pretty awful. My mom brought home a box of Hungry Jack’s when they first appeared and all four of us thought they were “off”. I learned pretty quickly to avoid HJ instant potatoes. At a friend’s house a couple of years ago, his wife…
Calling McDonald’s “Macca’s”, as they do in Australia is one of the whackiest of their renames. Ice block is right up there with it.
While I like kettle cooked chips, a lot, my favorites are the “regular” marcelled Ballreich’s chips made in Tiffin, Ohio. I’ve tried just about every other chip available in NW Ohio and on the West coast, and they just kill any other chips. How oil, salt, and potatoes can vary so much in taste is amazing to me.
I remember the first Pop-Tart I ever ate. I was about as disappointed as an 8 year old could be. They haven’t gotten any better over the last 58 years. Not horrible, or disgusting, just...sad. Not enough “guts” and the crust is pretty bad too. Most of my friends felt the same way, but we all had relatives who just…
I did the same thing, but at home. We used to go to this fish market and buy a huge box of really great ready to fry shrimp. The first time I remember having them, I was about 4, my mom made a huge plate of them and I grabbed about 10 of them and munched them down. “Where are the tails? You didn’t give them to the dog…
