He's describing the use of a pain-killer. It's akin to using Tylenol. It's stronger, but not an opiate. If someone has a migraine, but then uses Excedrin and can compete, are they using performance-enhancing drugs?

So is all of modern medicine a performance enhancing drug? I mean, if I have a rash on my hand I might have trouble gripping a baseball, but throw some anti-fungal cream on there and I'm able to play. A headache would certainly hurt my performance, unless I took some Tylenol to get rid of it.
Dude, come on. By that definition, cortisone is a performance-enhancing drug. As is aspirin. There's a difference - in a context where you're talking about banned substances and suspensions, if nowhere else - between "a drug that enhances performance" and a PED.

The older I get, the less picky I become. I used to be stridently anti-fat, anti-bald, anti-short, anti-grey, anti-body hair, anti-blonde, anti-beard...and I have enjoyed breaking every one of these formerly held criteria.
Overly picky daters usually get what they deserve, which is occasional fulfillment followed by disappointment followed by long bouts of frustration.

THANK YOU.
Give her a break.
His hitting coach is Mark McGwire. Not even an alleged steroid user, an admitted steroid user. That's a bullshit excuse.
