I tell the servers that wait on my wife and I that we have food allergies, what they are, and that we’re fine as long as we don’t eat it. We failed to tell this to one of our waiters at our usual restaurants, and discovered they had added an allergen to the quesadillas.

When I was a wee little Bantaro, I was allergic to milk, dairy, and chocolate. A well meaning parent brought chocolate cake and ice cream for some reason to our after school program. It made an impression on me about inadvertent cruelty.
