When have at a change a manufacturer has made to a car that had you thinking “was this designed by and for humans?” I’m talking about stuff that is supposed to make the vehicle easier to use / more convenient and did the exact opposite.

It’s crazy to me that more manufacturers don’t offer them as a built in option on their vehicles. So many of them already have cameras mounted for safety / parking aids! Storage is crazy cheap and could even be just plugged into one of the many usb ports cars come with now.

This is VERY anecdotal so take it for what it is, but my experience as a gay teen / young man was overwhelmingly positive when I was involved with YoungLife. No one gave me shit for “living in sin”, everyone was very supportive when I came out, and the general attitude was “God loves you, God made you this way, so it

Apparently when she woke he told her he never intended to kill her, that he needed her to believe she was going to die in order to get off. So this woman faded into unconsciousness thinking he was killing her, that this was her dying. And he got a suspended fucking sentence!?

I’ve worked in the service department for 8 different manufacturers in my career, and the only times I have seen the manufacturer pay for warranty repairs done at an independent was when a) the customer lives far enough away from any dealer that it is cheaper to pay the indy than to tow the car, and b) a recall / SSP

What are the odds that this tweet is how she found out she was fired?

Waaaaay back in 2010 I was at Comic-Con at the The Other Guys panel (which is a weird film to promote at Comic-Con) and a young man came up to the mic to ask the panel a question. In fact, he was asking Eva Mendes if she remembered him. She responded “No I don’t... Oh. OH NO! The foxy kid!”

New York’s hottest club is Alpha-Gal. Located in the fur behind your dogs ear, this illness named after an inspirational feminist Instagram account has everything; hives, the squirts, John Grisham. And while you’re there don’t forget to join the David Icke Party.”

I was thinking that wrestling could have been a good fit. It’s hyper-masculine, but with enough homoerotic undertones that there would be a lot of material to mine for the team mates gay or trans panic. It would also fit into the weird maybe-its-the-past-but-also-right-now? timeline the show has going on. But more

I loved Theos arc in Sabrina, but one thing really bothered me about a choice the writers made: Why basketball? Theo was significantly smaller than everyone else on the team, and was frankly terrible at it. The resistance to Theo playing on the team was framed as bigotry, but even without issues with their gender it

In the linked article neither the author nor the doctor link the men wanting the testicle implants to incels, it’s just used as an example of the kind of cosmetic work the clinic does.

That’s fair, but for me when I think about the “hero cars” of that movie it’s the Eclipse and the Lancer. They were presented as sweet-ass rides for the characters who seemed super excited about them, and MAYBE I could see that with the Evo, but the Eclipse? It just seemed like very garishly done product placement

I mean, if they’re trying to say that they want to match the hero car to the character, the also-ran-that-nobody-cares-about Eclipse is actually a good pairing to the Roman character.

He also talked about product placement, and how he tried to avoid committing to cars as advertising in the Fast & Furious movies since the films are so vehicle-centric. “...the key to product placement is it has to be organic,” said McCarthy. “You don’t want to place the wrong car with the wrong person just because

It looks like it might be a Game Boy Advance.

Oh no I can totally understand that a twenty something guy like yourself would get that from the media representation of your youth. I mean, for someone who was born at the earliest in 1990, shows like Friends and Fresh Prince and Blossom and Always Sunny and The Big Bang Theory were hallmarks of snappily dressed men.

For sure. The only thing that makes me pause is that it is not mentioned in the article, or on the company website (that I could see at least.) If they were interested in positioning themselves as a service that recognizes the unfairness of traditionally “womens work” then you would think they’d be all over promoting

If this was a sponsored post untuckit wasted their money. A quarter of the article talks about how companies like this treat men like babies and the rest of it questions why they even exist.

Granted, it doesn’t seem so from the tone of the article and the referenced Sarah Sharma piece, but I wonder if it could be argued that startups like this are saying “the mostly unpaid, always unrecognized work that you are demanding of the mothers and women in your life is something that you can and should be doing
