How many of those football players could've named the women's basketball coach? I'm guessing fewer than 5. If they were so broken up about it, no one would've faulted them for postponing the game.

And Bama's schedule includes
And this: If Alabama wins out, they'll have as many Top 25 wins (5) as Florida State, Ohio State and Baylor combined.
Wouldn't that dilute the regular season? The intra-conference rivalries would die, replaced with more matchups between powerhouses and mid-majors.
Surely this isn't right: The Pac-12 is winless in its last 10 games against SEC teams not named Tennessee.
I'll concern myself with the Pac-12's athleticism when they beat a good SEC team, but they've proved over and over that they can't handle the style of defense that is the SEC's specialty.
Since 1990? How many kids playing college ball now were even alive then? So what?!
What makes you think an Oklahoma State team that lost to Iowa State would perform better than Alabama?
I don't "worry" about the "unfair" title shot Bama got. Alabama completely dominated that game and proved who the best team in football was.
Sorry. They blew their chance when they lost to Iowa State. It was LSU and Alabama. Oklahoma State was a very distant third. Rematches happen in sports. The 2007 Patriots beat the Giants in the last game of their undefeated regular season but lost in the Super Bowl.
So a team that lost to a 4-touchdown underdog should get a second chance instead? You prefer the inferior team because you don't believe in rematches?
Why?
The Alabama-LSU regular season game was as close as they get, and Alabama dominated every facet of the championship game.
Bama's schedule is tougher than anyone else in the Top 5.
Who was the best team in the country in 2011?
HA!
You're assuming there's parity between conferences when in many years some conferences' champs don't finish in the Top 25 and six SEC teams are better than the champs of other major conferences.
What else could you do? Cancel the championship game and crown LSU? Somebody had to play them, and Alabama was #2.
I had Comet Fire Blue and Superhero Blue.
