All of the extra money goes to increasing the production value, adding more voiced dialogue, and expanding the platforms it will be available for.

It is Gold and Silvers Kanto because it is the same Kanto from Red and Blue. Also it isn't pointless at all. The level difference between the Saffron gym and the Fuschia gym weren't that large. The difference was depending on what Pokemon you had, one gym was easier than the other.
He didn't mean it literally. He was saying that in a way that meant they should either give it a release date of somewhere down the line or just tell us that it is cancelled.
They don't own the rights to that series or any of their old adventure series'.
It seems like some enemies are programmed to be more fearful than others, just like people in real life. Think about it. If someone points a gun at you what would you do? I would duck or get the heck out of that area regardless of the situation.
He might not care so much but I think that Notch is a pretty smart fellow. I think that if he though this game had no chance of selling at all then he wouldn't fund it no matter how much he wanted it. I think he is willing to gamble that over the years word of mouth has gotten this game a large following that will…
Well then if we are going to only count the original releases it WAS in the original Super Famicom release. That was the original release and that is all there is to it.
Glad you got it! And no problem on the promote, it is a good thing to talk about on speakup!
type kotaku.com/speakup when coming to the website. Just type anything in there that you think people would like to know and possibly discuss. We are a good lot and welcome most anyone that is nice!
Agreed. If this happens I can't see Notch not getting a fair amount of whatever cash is made. I fully believe that he is the kind of guy to just put the money down for the game too.
That would be awesome actually haha. No, but like someone mentioned lower, before the final battle with Kefka he said something like "You all sound just like a self-help book!" That line is silly even though the characters are about to fight a god for the most part.
As I have said elsewhere, I think the humor is more than just "dripped in to keep it from being the most depressing thing ever."
I am playing VI now and still find Ultros funny. I am 20. I think it has a lot more to do with the 16-bit graphics than it does with the jokes not being up to par. The graphics go well with that style of humor.
One of my favorites as well good sir!
Again, certainly VI had a dark story, but there were just as many silly moments all throughout the game. Ultros, Cyan's magazine on sex tips, suplexing the train, there are tons of them.
I'm actually playing through VI right now and can definitely say there are a ton of silly parts even in the World of Ruin. Sabin holds up a burning house for god's sake! If you touch certain fireplaces you will jump back because you got burned. You get a Yeti as a party member. There is a ton of silly dialogue with…
Agreed. It would be odd having those things in a modern 3D game. I say a Final Fantasy: Classic should be made. Have classic 16-bit graphics and bring back the humor. It would be relatively cheap to make and would likely sell many copies.
Post this to speakup.
Right, like I said there are silly moments but it isn't the same. These moments seem out of place in relation to the story while a lot of the silly stuff in the older games melded with the serious game and didn't seem separate. They used to mix the silliness and seriousness without separating them.
