Those Jeeps were absolutely perfect for a front row at the drive-in (rally). There really isn’t a more ideal vehicle for that purpose.
Whoever parked them each time did a great job with spacing and angles. It looked great.

Amen to this. A 2CV can do practically anything; It may not be able to do it quickly but it will achieve whatever you throw at it.
That banner image has a very Torch vibe to it. Just missing vintage gaming systems and a green monitor.

Each year on the anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald the Minnesota Historical Society lights up the beacon at the Split Rock Lighthouse to commemorate the sinking of the ship and the lives lost. Because there is a pandemic this year they aren’t allowing visitors and are going to broadcast it…
I can’t believe that these debuted in 1987. I would’ve guessed far older.
I don’t think you are wrong necessarily. My boss’s 75-85 year old mother takes Uber so she doesn’t have to drive.
The only caveat now a days is Covid. Depending on their age and health Taxi services might be a risky proposition.
This is the polished version of Will I AM’s car. Which says absolutely nothing.
Does it drive better with the stereo on max volume? Do handling increase when you wear a leather vest? Does it make you wish you were a dentist?
The mudflaps alone make it look like a completely different car. I’m for it.
After seeing Chris Harris drive it on Top Gear I am not super surprised. I think the interior and mirrorless choices they made might be driving away sales. It’s almost too futuristic for it’s own good. They should have toned it down.
I wonder how simple it would be to change this regulation here in the US? I wonder how many different laws/regulations are tied to these being illegal?
Smyth is so awesome. I think the WRX looks like the most fun of all their options. The Beetle looks cool but I think the Jetta looks better.
I wish European cabovers were available in the United States. Semis are so much cooler in Europe. They always catch my eye when I am over there.
They’ve already
convertedForced you to the slideshow darkside.
Wait are you trying to tell me that the documentary Speed was all a lie?
As a non motorcycle person I can say that this definitely looks great. Possible even better than the GS BMWs. But if I was to ever buy a bike in that segment I would buy a GS over a Harley no matter what.
Also why the hell didn’t Ewan McGregor ride this for his new motorcycle show? I get the appeal of going electric…
If all these guys doing the cannonball run can provide legitimate GPS data after committing a bevy of felonies than SSC should be able to provide equally legitimate GPS data for their sanctioned run.
Full stop (or full send?).
Would fit in right next to a 6000 SUX
Is it even legal in the US to have swivel front seats? I don’t know why this wasn’t more common. I remember the Eurovans of the 90's having them (might have only been on the campers).
I realize I’m days late here but how does it compare to the Raptor in capability? I realize the engines aren’t comparable but what about everything else. They’re both said to basically be baja ready trucks, is this one better in non-engine ways or comparable (ie suspension, capability, etc.)?
