Oh it’s true they are terrible at doing something about things that are actually important. But they do some checking on items reported. I think they do more when you flag a post that’s an offensive meme than they do in situations like yours.

I think a huge factor is that Facebook relies on complaints/reports from users to root out this stuff for them, to then act on. Well that works in theory unless the group is an echo chamber where no one would ever report what they like seeing in the first place.

17 year old me thinks you should know It’s also useful to redline your car. By holding it in 2 or 3 you can get the revs up higher than the auto normally would want you to.
