Stories like this make me miss the Cold War. We came up with some really off the wall crazy shit.

So you mean that 11 year old Audi 100 I bought when I was 16 was a bad idea? Yes, yes it definitely was.

The quintessential land yacht. Well played sir.

I guess my state is the same as yours with the last 2. Not exactly certain what other features could be added to my ID to make it more secure. There are holograms and crazy fine print designs. Also barcode and mag strip and blacklight. Hmmmmm

Anyone have a link showing the differences? I am apparently in a state that's not in compliance, wondering what my ID is lacking.

Unfortunately in places where it snows with frequency, little is cancelled.

Whenever I see a chicken in advertising all I can think of is this advertisement.

Something French.

The 2CV because it always works. It's a tin can but they won't quit. Parents are on their second one (upgrade!) and it sits cold winters in a pole barn with the battery attached and cranks up on the first try every Spring. Changing the oil is the majority of maintenance.

This. I had the 4d version Expo. It had the 4G64 Mitsubishi engine. It was quick and resilient. Had a 1995 that lasted until 2009 with no serious problems. I always called it the Wan. Dream was to "EVO" it to make the ultimate waste of money sleeper.

It's changed that dramatically? Had no idea.

International Scout's and Scout II's are mostly rusted away and gone. There certainly are some left but it's by no means common.

I have a 2004 RL and would definitely get another one but the Acura nose is definitely holding me back. The next gen was tolerable but the one after that is horrendous.

I politely disagree and nominate Phil Hill's 1950 XK120 as the sexiest Jag of them all.

I watch this when I have bad days at work and it brings me immediate relief.

From imgur.

I really have a deep appreciation for the engine being signed by the guy who built it.

Radio Lab did an in depth look at it this past weekend and they talk about a rebroadcast that was done in Ecuador where the citizens rioted and burned the radio station to the ground ending in 7 people's deaths.

Also the incredible lack of fucks every person at the San Juan airport gives makes everything take exceptionally long.
