I know that’s true but it had also been a thing with movies and TV for decades by that point. I guess it wasn’t thought about it prioritized as much then but that shit still happens to this day.

I didn’t remember if I bought the game on Steam or if I will now need to pirate it, so I had to check. Looks like I’m sailing some seas.
The point is that *they* find it fun. Some people enjoy going for long drives, others enjoy racing cars. And if someone speedruns a game, it's very likely that they put more hours into it casually than you or any other regular player ever will lol
I don't necessarily agree. It *can* indicate that the world is boring, but oftentimes it's just that I'm doing a specific thing and I just want to get that thing done ASAP. Either I want the reward at the end of whatever I'm doing or I'm engrossed in the story being told and don't want to get distracted.
Obviously it sucks that the game was released in a buggy, broken state. That should never happen and both developers and publishers need to put in more effort to get things right the first time (which to me specifically means announcing release dates later in the development cycle and giving the team more time to work…
One time my dog got into a gallon jug of peanut oil. She had an entire "speedrun" marathon, all by herself.
Seems like this won’t (or shouldn’t) go anywhere. The two logos are very distinct in style and color scheme, and the full name of Remedy at the bottom of their logo really clinches it. Nobody is buying a Remedy game by accident thinking it’s a Rockstar title, or vice versa.
I was curious as well, to the point where I joined the discord just to read the AMA quick. It didn’t really give any better answers on exactly what “removing gear score” did to affect the equipment/gameplay. Presumably the gear still has stats of some kind and some gear will be objectively better than other gear.…
Perhaps, although it does sound like seeing this character is a rare occurrence so it could have just been missed. 8 voice lines out of thousands for a random side character isn't completely out of the realm of possibility to simply be an accident.
Well Gameshark was never about accessing in-game cheats, it was about reading and modifying memory addresses directly. You can theoretically edit the RAM of any game or any software to change it in real time. So you can isolate player health or ammunition or money or whatever and lock it for any game you want.
Yeah I have to agree with that, except for the bitcoin thing (there’s really no need for an unstable, unregulated currency). AI as it exists is janky and not exceptionally useful. But it will get better over time. The original Model T sucked compared to cars that were released 10 years later. Computers that used punch…
I miss the blockchain and NFTs. Not because I liked them, but because it was endlessly amusing watching people INSIST that it was super special magical technology that would change the world, and then never be able to give an actual use case for them. I think the closest they ever got were for recording transactions…
I don’t care if Sony themselves offers various covers, but it would be nice if they partnered with a 3rd party that gave more options for colors. Something approved by them rather than having to dig through random suspect makers on other sites.
I wish there were more car colors, my old car had a nice green option but the only one I was able to find was in silver.
I haven’t personally played it myself, but I’ve seen lots of different gameplay of it as well as full playthroughs and I would have to agree. Repetitive, janky, bug-filled, and frustrating.
I agree with this. I’ve been replaying Arkham Asylum since it was like 2 bucks on Xbox and while I still enjoy the game and the story, the gameplay has lost a lot of appeal. It was great when it released as were others in the series (often better than AA) but the game loop itself just doesn't hold my attention…
They do a pretty shit job of explaining it in-game and your starting team absolutely sucks so you need a decent bit of luck to win the required game, so it's no surprise you and many others got turned off from playing it again. I was the same on my first playthrough but when the Remaster came out I devoted more effort…
You can play it at basically any time after doing the tournament in Luca, accessed from save points. If you didn't try to dig into it when you originally played it's very easy to forget the menu option was there.
1000% this. If they ever remake FFX or go back to that universe they should absolutely redo Blitzball to make it more of a proper game. Scoop up some FIFA or FC20XX devs that aren't at EA anymore and give it some proper love and it could be one of the best minigames in Final Fantasy history.
I appreciate the dedication to the bit. I once tried to figure out how much money was in the briefcases from the coke deal that goes bad in Vice City as a similar joke/curiosity.
