Honestly I just want to enjoy a Rockstar game again. GTA4 was fun, although it was certainly rather bleak at times. Ballad of Gay Tony was fun and TLatD had potential but wasn’t executed well. I could go back and replay the base game or BoGT easily enough.

The only thing I enjoy about those shows when my ex watched them was when someone talked themselves up a lot and then spend the first 4 days with some combination of diarrhea, dehydration, or starvation before tapping out early.

At first I was going to make the same comment but then I remembered what it was like being in basic training and then AIT. Some people either have zero shame/respect towards people near them or vastly overestimate their ability to be discreet.

That’s where I kind of am. I want the game but I don’t have enough time to devote to playing it right now so I haven’t purchased it. Each time I get close they drop some big patch that makes me hold off because they also talk about some other giant new thing coming which makes me want to wait for that piece too.

Kenneth, between this post and the opening paragraph of your post about Shadow in the next Sonic movie, I am becoming genuinely concerned about you. Unless all of it is tongue in cheek and you’re just playing it 100% straight for amusement, I hope you’re getting some help with some of this shit.

Hell I don't even care about the first part since the games, while having connections to each other, are largely unrelated. Though that would be an excellent thing for like an online version to have all maps connected.

I’m not going to pretend game dev is easy and they have a magic “port to new engine” button.

“We did the thing, we made a reference to a different game! We’re hip and know what you like. Please like us. Pleeeaaaseee.”

I thought the same thing reading their comment. Hardly anybody prefaces EVERY SINGLE OPINION with a variation of the phrase “in my personal opinion”. It’s an opinion because it’s saying what you thought about it.

Man Kingdom Hearts could really stand to be rebooted. By the time KH3 came out the entire thing was beyond stupid and convoluted, and KH3 only managed to make it worse and drop the ball on several things as far as plot and gameplay. KH4 is probably going to make everything even more obtuse.

I mean based on the comments they made and some other reporting I think was on these incidents (may have been someone else), these are likely far-right MAGA chuds. They don’t know how to be clever or insightful, instead they spend their time practicing how to not get caught while putting roofies in women’s drinks.

That was my thought as well. I know a lot of people here show up more for the comment section than the article, but I don't think turning the comment section into an article is the solution for that lol.

The brand deal fell through at the last moment. Kotaku Corporate will authorize an edit when they have a new product to advertise to you.

I don’t really have a dog in this fight because I’m not invested in the series. Played a bit of the first one at a friend’s place and it was fine. Watched a playthrough of the whole story and again: fine. Nowhere near the masterpiece people prop it up as but it’s pretty good.

They may, but that depends on if the RF scanner was capable of specifically picking up BT (not all of them do afaik) and was it on when they did the scan. The power button is often on the base of such toys so you get through the scan and then go for a good deep ass scratch and you’re good to go.

Yeah but at that point it just becomes "can you lie convincingly in a stressful situation" lol. We know people can do that, there have been much bigger lies told in much more stressful situations than having some rumble down under and those lies have been believed.

I mean, was whether this was possible ever really in question? Remote control vibrating anal beads exist. Advanced chess assistance software exists. Tournaments don’t perform cavity searches.

Is... Is Sony trying to patent savestates? A feature that’s been in emulators for like 2 decades?

Yep, it’s a *huge* glaringly obvious flaw, which is exactly why only a tiny number of people experience it. It makes perfect sense! /s

In some ways I would put him and a couple other staff as the *only* journalists Kotaku had/have.
