Same here. By that point I’m annoyed with the combat system’s use of hit chance. It makes lots of sense in 3rd person and isometric RPGs like Baulder’s Gate or KOTOR, but very little sense in a 1st person RPG where I’m swinging a weapon at a crab and I’m so close I could just pick it up and chuck it but I’m repeatedly

Neato. I kinda wish they were remastering Morrowind, although at this point I think a remake would be more likely considering how much they have stripped down the series since then. I’m not sure their engine even supports the stuff it did for Morrowind, they may have deprecated a lot of functionality over the last 20

I personally like the packs for various reasons, but what would be really nice is if they built a method for recharging AAs directly into the controller. Idk if it is technically feasible or possible but it would be cool.

“Run” and “run well” are two different things. I’m not familiar with the reports you are referring to, but it could be the same thing with many ports to the Switch, where it is playable, but that doesn't mean it is stable or looks good doing it.

So make it an actual wood block or change the puzzle slightly to be doable with the device? I’m not exactly sure what your issue is, but if you’re already adjusting a physical puzzle to be digital you can take a bit of creative license to make it make sense.

Yeah, that’s an Ashley Bardhan post for you. Between some decent posting you get things like:

Both of these are easy to make work with the Switch. You just put a digital representation of the DAS on the screen and the player lines them up the stuff for the puzzles on the pretend screens, then press A to "fold" or "close" the device. Same thing as you did in real life, just in the game.

That's a good point, although the N64 version being emulated definitely shows how old it is. Having it redone in HD and supporting 16:9 would be cool.

Hopefully. That would be nice since the developer who was making Mario RPGs went bankrupt so now there isn’t a source for new ones at all.

Seems like a really strong correction from the Super Princess Peach game that came out forever ago. That's dope

Wow I’m kind of surprised this is happening since Miyamoto is known for trying to pull story and unique characters out of later Paper Mario titles. I know he’s stepped back from a lot of stuff but he still gives his opinions and people still take what he says very seriously. But considering this is an existing title

While true, this isn’t the first time something like this happened in a Bethesda game. Besides the Skyrim examples referenced in the post you can also do similar things in Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and I think there was an example in Fallout 4 too but I couldn’t find the example of it for that game.

I’m not disputing the bit about using 8 cores. That *is* good optimization. But still hitting 90% usage regularly when actually using all the cores? That’s the concerning part to me.

To me this sounds more like “we aren’t bothering to optimize anything, better make sure to pick up our slack on your end” than anything else. It’s different when using some types of software, like rendering video if your editor doesn’t allow GPU encoding, but regularly hitting 90% CPU usage in a video game usually

I was going to say “This sounds absurdly overpowered” but your more accurate explanation makes all the difference.

Eh? It’s not really that bad. I did game QA with Activision for 3 years before moving on to other work and of the dozens of titles released in those years I don’t believe we ever failed a 1st Party Cert.

I hate all of them, and lens flare too. I know that technically lens flare can happen on natural uncovered eyes. But it generally looks way different than what you see in video games emulating lens flare as if viewing the world through a camera.

That’s my concern too. I’d almost expect them to go with a full mod store and include stuff in the Terms of Use that distribution or installation of mods outside of the official mod store is a violation of the ToU, to try and kill off people going to Nexus or other mod host sites.

Yeah pretty much that. I’ve seen people play dating sims (I’ve tried to play a couple myseld but I check out early for the reasons you mention) and the vast majority of them are exactly that.

That's true. This is like if the MCU had a shitload of weird inconsistencies by like... Iron Man 2
