There is absolutely nothing complicated about the ATB system. If you're looking to min/max every turn of every battle through the entire game maybe but for general play it has none of the issues you describe. 

It's actually technically incorrect if it is a day short of two months. It's a several weeks, or dozens of days, but not quite "months".

I would prefer if they included options for the new and old text and sprites, but from the example given in the tweet the new sprite doesn't look bad. The edges where one piece of clothing or body transitions to another could be a bit better defined and less "smoothed" but overall it looks okay.

I wish I enjoyed playing these button mashing beat em ups more. Bayonetta, DMC, and Nier all scratch a very particular itch for me as far as aesthetics, style, etc. But I just don’t enjoy playing them which is a total bummer.
